Let's Chat VoIP Handset IPT2.12

What is it?

The patented Let's Chat® IPT 2.12 handset is the second generation of handsets for computers, specifically designed for Internet telephony for the residential, SOHO and business user!

Feature-rich and yet affordable!

It simply connects to the PC's sound card and does not need any drivers nor any USB port like more complex and more expensive USB devices. (Click on diagram to enlarge)

Beyond giving the natural feel of a comfortable telephone handset with excellent voice quality, its main advantage is the automatic muting of the PC-speakers when it's lifted from its holder, or from the desk.
This unique feature permits users to hear the incoming ring of a "PC to PC" or "phone to PC" internet call from a virtual PSTN number. (Obviously with a HEADset, a user will miss all calls, when he momentarily turns away from his computer).

With our handset, the computer rings like a real phone, until it is picked up to make a call.
When the handset is put back after the call, the PC speakers automatically re-connect, and any system-sound, music or streaming audio will play again through your PC-speakers...
There is no need to lower the PC-speaker volume, (or even disconnect them, like when using a microphone or a HEADset!) to avoid echo and have a private phone conversation.

Other features:

A noise-canceling HiFi microphone assures excellent audio quality right at the beginning, the input of a sound-card.

The handset has further a convenient thumb-wheel volume control right on the side, to adjust the volume of the earpiece; therefore no need to re-adjust volume in the software telephone (SoftPhone) in case your correspondents microphone tuning is wrong.

Let's Chat® comes with a self-adhesive plastic holder and a special MYLAR speaker which allows it to be placed on the front panel of the monitor for maximum convenience without distorting the color of the screen, (a normal telephone handset will cause color impurity in the vicinity of the earpiece).

Flat-Screen
If you have a Flat-screen, or if you don't want to attach the handset to the monitor, you can simply place the handset on the desk, and the switch will function perfectly. The handset is designed in such a way, that it does not need a base!

IMPORTANT: The soundcards on some Apple computers may not be PC-compatible and therefore need additionally the Griffin iMic Audio Interface.
